"I Don't Want To Go To School!" - How Playgroup Can Help

"Salam Teacher Effa.  Good news! Wafeeq will start kindergarten this April.  Alhamdulillah, he is no longer afraid of going to school.  Thank you!"

Wafeeq was once enrolled to a kindergarten near his house. But it only lasted for a few days.  He was not cooperating and was not happy there.   The mother called me up and asked for my opinion.

I suggested her to come for our ALIMKids Playgroup trial session.  During the session, he refused to participate in some of the activities.   Since I already knew of his situation, I did not force or push him to participate. I let him explore by himself and let him feel comfortable to be in the class. After the 1st session, he wanted to attend the next class. So, the mother decided to enroll him and his sister in my playgroup.

Alhamdulillah he improved a lot!  And this is the latest update from his mother. This is what we want.

Playgroups are not just about learning "academic" skills, but more importantly they learn social skills and this builds up their self-confidence.    Playgroups allow the children to explore their interest in a way that is fun and engaging.  Having the mother along also helps them feel secure and provides the mother an exclusive bonding time with the child.

Start with enrolling the children into ALIMKids Playgroup, then, insya Allah, the child will have no fear of going to kindergarten.

Membina Keyakinan Diri Melalui ALIMKids Playgroup

Semalam berjumpa dengan seorang ibu. Dia ada anak berusia tiga tahun. Anaknya tinggal dengan Bibik semasa dia pergi kerja. Saya tanya, macam mana pergaulan anak dengan orang luar? Ibu itu berkata dia risau sbb anaknya amat pemalu bila berjumpa dengan orang yg tidak dikenali.

Saya cadangkan sertai ALIMKids Playgroup sbb anak-anak walaupun akan bergaul dgn rakan-rakan yg baru, mereka masih ada ibu bersama mereka semasa sessi playgroup, jadi mereka lebih yakin dan tidak merasakan mereka ditinggalkan berseorangan dengan orang yg tidak mereka kenali. Suasana ini membina keyakinan mereka untuk bermain sambil belajar bersama rakan sebaya yang lain.

Imran menyertai ALIMKids Playgroup semasa berusia 4 tahun. Pada mulanya, dia menangis tak berenti sampai teacher Aisha terpaksa bawa dia keluar dan peluk dia sehingga berhenti menangis. Tetapi, setelah beberapa minggu, ayah dia cuma hantar ke kelas dan dia akan masuk tanpa perlu ditemanai ayahnya ataupun saya.

Saiyidah Nafisah…ingat…sampai modul 4 baru boleh ikut semua pergerakan tanpa segan silu…masa tu dia 2 tahun…tapi sekarang… perkembangan mindanya sangat memberansangkan…bukan sahaja mudah untuk diajar dan dibentuk…tapi sangat cepat dalam pelajaran… dia dapat membina logiknya dengan mudah…dah boleh membaca bahasa melayu bahasa inggeris dan sudah membaca Qiraati 4 diusia 4 tahun…saya memang berterima kasih dengan ALIMKids Playgroup.

Anak saudara saya, Iman semasa 2+ tahun dia cukup malas nak cakap sampai kami risau kemungkinan dia ada masalah percakapan. Kami daftarkan dia ke kelas ALIMKids Playgroup tahun lepas dan sekarang dia cakap tak berhenti-henti dan menyanyi juga.

ALIMKids Playgroup in TTDI is back...!!

Due to great demand from parents, ALIMKids Playgroup is now available in TTDI. They will start the session from Module 1, next year (mid January). They are now open for registration till end of December. Tentatively, the class will be on every Saturday from 3-4pm.

Kami dengan berbesar hati ingin menjemput pihak tuan/puan untuk sesi taklimat mengenai ALIMKids Playgroup khusus untuk digunakan di taska atau tadika pada tarikh-tarikh berikut (sila pilih satu).

Be Your Own ALIMKids Playgroup Business Owner

ALIMKids Playgroup is a play and learn program for 2-4 yrs old, specially designed to instill Islamic values through fun activities. The playgroup is usually conducted once a week for about one hour. Mothers are encouraged to join in, so it is a great way to bond with your child.

ALIMKids Playgroup USJ

ALIMKids Playgroup has been running since 2006 with our USJ centre being the first centre. We now have 12 centres, 10 of which are in Selangor/KL, 1 in Kota Kinabalu Sabah and 1 more in Johor.

ALIMKids Playgroup Taman Tun

We would like to expand the playgroup to areas outside of S'gor/KL, thus are looking for interested parties to set up the playgroup in these areas.

The playgroup is available as a:
(1) Community/Charity kit
Share with your friends and take turns conducting the playgroup! A great way to get your children to play and learn with each other (and for mommies to hang-out). You can even conduct the playgroup for underprivilege children in your neighbourhood.

(2) Kindergarten or Nursery Kit
Add the playgroup as part of your kindergeraten or nursery activity! The children will surely enjoy coming to school. We have a customized program for you which you can implement easily at your school.

(3) Business Kit
Do you want to start your own ALIMKids Playgroup business? This is a great chance for you! For a start, you can rent a kindergarten or suitable premise on the weekends and start your own playgroup there!

The investment required is less than RM5000, which includes training and one year consultancy. Very affordable, considering that you will be able to use the same program over and over again for new intake throughout the years.

Here are the requirements:
(1) Must enjoy working with children (teaching experience in kindergarten or with young children is an added advantage)

(2) Outgoing and cheerful personality

(3) Able to work as a team

If you have a child who is 3-4 yrs old, you are welcome to join our ALIMKids Playgroup Level 2 at ALIMKids Bookshop, USJ. Our class starts at 11:45am-12:45pm on Saturdays. We are open for registration now.

You can come as a trial session at only RM20, if you want to try out first.
